Spot NC is a community-based organization whose mission is to create a united graduate student and young professional community in the Triangle.

Whether your interests are socializing, networking, learning something new, or finding new relationships - friendships or otherwise; we organize a variety of social and networking events which appeal to a wide range of young professionals. You will not feel out of place if you come alone any of our events - many people do. We provide the most up-to-date calendar of events in the Triangle, which not only includes Spot NC events, but also events organized by other groups.
We keep our members well informed via regular e-newsletter and through constant website updates. All our members are either graduate students or young professionals. Basic membership is free. We know it’s difficult, but we ask you to put aside school rivalries a few nights a month to come together and have a great time.
It doesn’t matter whether you study medicine at UNC or work as a corporate marketing manager in Raleigh - we want you to join in the fun!

A note from Ruchir Shah, the Founder of Spot NC:
I have been living in Chapel Hill for 6 years. I love the Triangle and am excited about starting this new organization. I am a former UNC graduate student and now work in RTP. I have led many student organizations, and I’ve always enjoyed organizing social and networking events for UNC students and professionals. Furthermore, I saw a great need for an overarching social and networking organization in the Triangle area, not just for a specific school or a specific profession, and that was how Spot NC was born!
